OFF BRIEF is a paid creative commission from MPB and Production Paradise, created for photographers who want to make something personal, unexpected, or simply different from their usual work.
Three selected photographers will each receive a €2,000 commission, plus access to up to €5,000 of MPB gear to help bring the idea to life.
The brief
Commercial photographers spend much of their working life responding to other people's briefs. OFF BRIEF gives three of them the funding and tools to follow their own curiosity instead — to change subject, pace, process, perspective, or equipment. Production Paradise brings the professional creative community and the exposure; MPB brings the means to experiment.
Step outside your usual subject. Follow an obsession. Revisit where it began. Look again at what's right there.
Take a detour.
Leave the familiar route and see where another one takes you. It's an invitation to move beyond your usual subject, environment or working method — a lighter setup, an unfamiliar focal length, analogue, medium format or macro. Change what you notice. Change how you work. Change the tools in your hands.
